Terms of Service

Last Updated: April 20, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using MAAT ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service. MAAT provides structural validation and alignment analysis tools powered by artificial intelligence.

2. Nature of the Service

MAAT uses multiple large language models (LLMs) to analyze text and expose alignment, divergence, and potential hallucinations.

Important Disclaimers regarding the Service:

  • No Professional Advice: MAAT does NOT provide legal, financial, medical, or other professional advice.
  • No Guarantee of Accuracy: The AI-generated reports highlight areas of potential risk but are not infallible. You must independently verify all claims and alignment scores.
  • Human Judgment Required: MAAT is designed to supplement, not replace, human expertise and judgment.

3. Data Privacy and Zero-Retention

We operate on a strict Zero-Retention Architecture. Your documents are processed ephemerally to generate alignment reports. Once the processing is complete and the report is delivered, the original document text is permanently deleted from our active processing servers. MAAT does not use your documents to train foundational models.

4. User Responsibilities

You are solely responsible for the content you submit to MAAT. You represent and warrant that you have all necessary rights, licenses, and permissions to upload and process the documents. Do not upload classified, highly restricted, or legally prohibited material without explicitly ensuring compliance with your organizational policies.

5. Subscriptions and Access

Access to MAAT is provided through tiered subscription plans (Pro, Pro Plus, Expert). Web subscriptions are billed monthly or annually via PayPal; iOS subscriptions are billed through Apple In-App Purchase. Subscription benefits, including word quotas and analysis capabilities, reset each billing cycle. Refunds for active web subscription periods are not provided due to the computational cost of the verification infrastructure; iOS purchases are governed by Apple's refund policy.

MAAT is a product operated by Techne Forma.
